In January Jeff stopped me in the gym and asked me if he was too old to get results from my 12 Week Body Transformation Program. I told him he would do great as long as his age didn’t affect his ability to follow directions. Jeff laughed and promised he would do whatever it took if I could help him wins his company’s biggest loser contest. We began training on January 26th and 10 weeks later Jeff won the contest losing 38 pounds and 19.6 % of his starting body weight. Jeff was so happy with his results he signed up for phase 2 of the transformation. This time he wants to get into the shape of his life. He’s already well on his way.

Are you in better shape than a 72 year old?

I wish I had a nickel for every time someone told me they were too old to get in shape. I’d be a rich man. The simple truth is you’re never too old for self improvement. Don’t believe me? Check out the before and after pics of Bob Vastine. Bob’s story is an interesting one to say the least. In April of 2000, he fell off his bike, shattered his pelvis and severely injured his right arm. Bob’s injury was so bad doctors used screws bolts and who knows what else to piece his fractured bones back together. By the time they were done with him his pelvis had more steel in it than a 57 Chevy. They even gave him an ID card with a picture of the x-ray so he would be able to get through airport security metal detectors. Bob and I met at the local gym and I began training him to help speed the recover from his injuries. During this time Bob made a full recovery but he didn’t stop there. He liked the way getting in shape made him feel so much that he be began entering weight lifting contests. Bob’s accomplishments include a 350 pound bench press, a 465 pound dead lift while in his seventies. Recently Bob became interested in my Body Transformation program. Above is the end result. If it’s not proof of how weight training, cardio and a proper diet stalls the aging process, I don’t know what is.

Antonio trains Echelon Custom Homes employees for calendar shoot

Custom Homes
From left to right- Matt Adler, Christina Wagamon, Ivana Beila, Jeff Anemon, Chris Antonio, Lance Manlove, Tim Tice, and Echelon President Chris Schell

Passion, energy and pride is the motto used to describe how Chris Schell- President of Echelon Custom Homes- perceives his companies product so why would he accept anything less when hiring a trainer to help his employees get in shape for their fist annual company calendar shoot?

The answer is he wouldn’t. He immediately came to Antonio’s Training Systems and enrolled his calendar employees in my 12 Week Body Transformation Program.

Chris Schell created the calendar shoot as a clever way to motivate his employees to take up a healthy lifestyle. On July 15, 2009 his employees will pose for a calendar shoot to feature The Bodies of Echelon.

In addition to looking great for the camera each employee will be expected to fulfill a list of personal goals determined by yours truly or they will have to pay the company back for the cost of their transformation. This may be the most creative healthcare program ever. Stay tuned for more information.

On June 6th Kelly Fritchman will enter a 5k in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a debilitating disease that affects the lungs and digestive system often reducing life expectancy for those who have it. Kelly has been living with CF since birth and began training with me to strengthen her muscles and lungs to improve her quality of life and insure future health. Since January she has increased her lung capacity by 9% and is well on her way to preparing for her race.
