How do I cope with sweets at work?

What do you do if someone at work just happens to bring the some of the best pastries from the best Italian bakery in Boston? I'm trying to be good but it's been one of those weeks.

There are only 2 things you can do in a situation like this. Here's you're choices.
You're first choice is to shove everyone out of the way and stuff you're face with as many conolies as possible before the break room vultures beat you to it. When you're finished retreat to you're desk and brush the powder from you're shirt so no one knows what you've done.
There's no reason to eat a healthy lunch today since you've already gorged on pastries so go ahead and have a hamburger, cheese fries and a piece of pie. You might as well top it off with an ice cream sandwich since the damage is already done.
Why not skip the gym today since you have a stomach ache from today's escapades. Maybe sit on the couch and watch a move while snacking on some potato chips. You've already ruined you're diet so why not go all the way and enjoy yourself?
You're second choice is to go ahead and enjoy the pastries since you probably won't have a chance like this for a long time. How often do you go to Boston anyway? Don't worry about how many you have because you normally eat healthy anyway and a couple of canolies won't make a difference.
Eat you're normal healthy lunch because several small meals a day keep you're metabolism burning strong even when you decide to treat yourself with some occasional junk food. Skip the desert since you already had your sugar quota for the day and go back to work feeling full and satisfied.
Go to the gym after work and get a good workout as usual. Do you're weight training first and finish up with cardio. You're feeling good today so add 5 minutes extra to make up for any extra calories you've had. Life is good.
The point I'm trying to make here is that you shouldn't deprive yourself of you're favorite foods. Go ahead and enjoy them, just don't do it every day. Stay on a schedule and do the things you need to keep you're metabolism burning strong so you don't have to worry about counting every calorie.
Eating smaller more frequent meals, weight training and doing some type of cardiovascular activity 3-5 times a week will keep you're body burning fat.
Remember the idea is to live a healthy lifestyle not restrict yourself of all of life's guilty pleasures.
